Rare Plants of Northern Washington County Within the St. Croix River Valley
Jason Husveth will share his knowledge and experience of discovering rare plants within the St. Croix River Valley.

In late May or early June, depending on how Spring unfolds, Jason will guide a field trip to William O’Brien State Park to discover rare, native plants.

Valhallah, The Red Lake Peatland Expedition
In August of 2017 CCES principal Jason Husveth along with CCES Field Technician John Storkamp and friend Rob Henderson completed the only known crossing of the vast and mysterious Red Lake Peatland in Northern Minnesota. Part scientific expedition and part endurance challenge, the team will share their photos, stories and insights about their journey through a fascinating landscape of which relatively little is known.
