Restoration and Management Planning
CCES provides highly detailed natural resource restoration and management planning services. Effective site management planning is essential to targeting and prioritizing labor efforts and economic inputs. To develop a specific management plan for the site, CCES typically completes an on-the-ground preliminary ecological survey of a site to evaluate major vegetation types and determine a sites overall condition. Using this baseline information, CCES will outline restoration and management needs to achieve set goals, develop a project timeline, outline specific restoration tasks, and develop a 5-10 year implementation plan and budget. All information is summarized in a detailed restoration and management report.
CCES also provides specific on the ground restoration services to implement prescribed management tasks. Specific tasks include seed mix design and installation, weed management and herbicide application, invasive brush removal, native plant installation, prescribed burning, as well as others. CCES has successfully designed and installed prairie restoration projects, wetland restoration projects, shoreline restoration projects and woodland restoration projects.
